5circles2012
Pilot Theatre and KMA Yorkshire

Pilot Theatre Artistic Director Marcus Romer and KMA propose 5circles2012, a project that will see five large circular stages in five Yorkshire cities – creating artistic urban playgrounds on a grand scale. Each circle will host a series of interactive games and public art installations, with a projector suspended above the ground which would react to the movement of the people within the space. Through this, people will have a unique interaction with light, sound and other participants. The project will be accompanied by an interactive website, allowing people to create and programme their own sequences in the circles. It will be rolled out from five cities to five countries to five continents up to 2012, spreading across the world from Yorkshire.

KMA - Flock

We are just putting the final project partners into place, and we are delighted to be able to report that we are planning to bring the project to Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Sheffield and York. In these cities we will enable the unique interactive, accessible and engaging spaces to be presented -  which will be part of this global artwork that is inspired by Yorkshire and made by the world...The works created in these, will be built over the next year, with artists and groups from the region.

5circles Word Cloud - plus some dhol drumming news

We have just completed our first pass of the presentation document, and after going over it I decided to paste all the text into a word cloud via Wordle.net
Here all the text appears and is larger the more times the word appears in the document, so the document produced this image. No surprise then that Yorkshire and 5circles feature pretty prominently!
